Looks like this trip sucked =0). The lunches are expensive, BUT I consider the alternative, which is me going out to lunch everyday, to a fast food place, and every lunch is under $2 and healthy. The good thing is these meals are not super high in sodium like others, so it's a compromise. The book? Could've totally skipped it, but it's a book dang it! Hopefully I do better at the other stores. The dip and ranch, well seriously I have to get Aaron stuff he likes to eat sometimes or he'd rebel, he didn't marry an earthy crunchy Sarah, I just evolved. =0) On a good note, I totally did not buy yarn at knitting group tonight, which required me to exercise extreme willpower!!
As for the gym, went again today, AND it was that step class again. Not so bad, I got a spot in the middle this time, FAR from the mirrors, it was better. I also think the instructor can probably eat whatever the heck she wants, that lady has some crazy energy. =0)

Hey...we shop at BJs for our 'staple' stuff and have found it to be worth it! Everything is not super size and the stuff that is lasts so it doesn't matter. Most of their products are sold in larger quantity but packaged so it doesn't go stale. I can buy a 25 lb bag of sugar(Chris likes a lot in his coffee plus it lasts around a month) for like $15. A 5 lb bag of flour is around $5. I got a bag of brown sugar today double that size for roughly the same price.I know they have Aaron's favorite kind of ranch there too LOL. You guys should look into it, we get a free pass every month so let me know, I can send it to you ( I think the membership is $40 a year but it's totally worth it you save that in your first couple trips...and they allow you to use manufacturer coupons in addition to the coupons they mail out every month):)
ReplyDeleteAnd another spiel...COUPONS...use them!!! You can save so much money and we still only buy the brands we like to use :)
Ok I'm done now heehee
Thanks for all the tips. =0) I'm just starting out with the coupons, I used 'em for cereal and granola stuff, and it definitely saved money. I'm not sure if there's a BJ's around here, I'll check and let you know. It would be good to just buy a tub of the Ranch dressing LOL. He puts it on everything!! =0)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there is at least one in close proximity :) Some of their products aren't worth buying to us since it would take years to use up but a lot of times if that is the case we share with Chris's parents and vice versa, it actually works out nicely. The big thing that attracted us to them vs. Costo is the fact that they do allow manufacturer coupons too which is awesome! Just have to have a storage shelf somewhere heehee
